Pure Beef (Sensible Pure Germany) is 100% beef, meat and nutrient-rich offal such as heart, lungs and liver, a single-protein tin with nothing hidden.

No soy or vegetable additives, complete with vitamins and minerals: honest, digestible wet food for dogs that do well on beef.

  • 100% beef meat and offal
  • Single protein source
  • No soy or vegetable additives
  • Complete and balanced

Why single-protein beef?

Not every dog needs an exotic protein. Plenty do perfectly well on beef and only run into trouble with the other things in the tin: the soy, the vegetable fillers, the vague "meat and animal derivatives" that could be anything. This is beef and beef only, with the offal left in because that is where a lot of the nutrition actually lives.

It is also the sensible starting point if you are working out which protein suits your dog, before moving to something rarer.

About Happy Dog

Happy Dog is a German family brand made in Wehringen, Bavaria by Interquell, with pet-food expertise dating back to 1965. The Pure range follows one rule: one protein, nothing else. No soy, no grain, no vegetable fillers, no hidden meats. That sounds austere, and it is, deliberately. It exists so that a vet or an owner running an exclusion diet knows precisely what has gone into the bowl.

Questions, answered

Is this a complete food or a topper?
Complete and balanced, with added vitamins and minerals. Feed it alone or mixed through a dry food.

Which dogs is it for?
Dogs that tolerate beef well but react to fillers and additives, and anyone who simply wants to know exactly what is in the tin.

Why is offal included?
Heart, lung and liver are nutrient-dense and are what a dog would eat naturally. Leaving them in means fewer added supplements are needed.

How do I switch my dog onto it?
Over about seven days, increasing the proportion gradually.

How much should I feed?
Use the guide on the tin as a starting point and adjust to keep your dog at a healthy weight. Always leave fresh water down.

How should I store an opened tin?
Cover it, refrigerate and use within about two days.

When will it arrive?
Dispatched within 1 to 2 working days, with free UK delivery on orders over £30.
