304 grade stainless steel. There is no plating and no coating, so there is nothing to wear away over time.

Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
304 stainless steel is widely used for sensitive ears, and it is the grade AyeDoGifts have chosen for exactly that reason. To be straight with you though, 304 stainless contains nickel as part of the alloy, so we will not describe these as nickel free. If you have a diagnosed nickel allergy, please choose something else.

How big are they on the ear?
8 x 6mm, roughly the size of a small shirt button. Noticeable up close, discreet from across a room.

Will they tarnish?
Stainless steel is very resistant to tarnishing. Wipe them with a soft dry cloth now and then, and take them out before swimming or showering to keep them at their best.
